Biography

Marc Wilczek is a business leader with more than 20 years of experience in helping market-leading ICT companies to transform themselves, expand into new fields of business and geographies, and accelerate their growth.

He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Link11, an IT security provider specialized in DDoS protection. In this role, he is responsible for business development, sales, marketing, growth initiatives, and strategic alliances. Prior to that, he was Vice President Portfolio, Innovation & Architecture at Deutsche Telekom, where he headed all product-related activities, including pre-sales and consulting, for the company’s €3 billion cloud and hosting business worldwide. Previously, he was Member of the Group Executive Committee and Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific/Latin America/Middle East & Africa at CompuGroup Medical, a leading provider of digital health solutions. Beforehand, he spent roughly a decade at IT security vendor Utimaco Safeware (now Sophos), where he finally served as Managing Director, Asia Pacific, after building up the company’s global channel business and partner ecosystem from scratch.

As a recognized thought leader, he is geared toward helping customers drive their digital agenda and achieve higher levels of innovation and productivity through technology. Besides being a public speaker, he has authored dozens of publications featured in CIO Magazine, InformationWeek, Bloomberg, Information Management, DarkReading, ZDNet, and others.

He studied business administration in Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States. Following his graduation (Dipl.-Kfm.) in Frankfurt am Main, he pursued a master’s program at London Business School, where he was an Alfred P. Sloan Fellow. He also attended Columbia University on academic exchange. Furthermore, he has served on the Board of Directors of organizations based in Germany, Malaysia, Turkey, Saudi-Arabia, South Africa and China. Having spent time in Hong Kong, London, and New York City, he currently resides in the Frankfurt metropolitan area.
